Good Movies That Bombed at the Box Office
Heathers
"Greetings and Salutations."
This is an awesome movie about a high school student who also happens to be a psychopathic killer. Murder made funny. When a movie has you laughing at premeditated homicide, well that's just dark humor at it's best. Heathers is the template for brilliant black comedies. Sadly, this movie probably could not be made in this pathetic PC world we live in today.

The 6th Day
Interesting sci-fi movie about human cloning that is set in the not-to-distant future. A man is surprised to discover that he has been replaced by and clone, and that clone is now living with his family as him. Before he could confront this clone, an attempt on his life is made. He now must go on the run, all the while trying to discover who would want to "replace" him and their motive for doing so.

Thirteen Days
Well made account of the Cuban Missile Crisis and JFK's actions to avoid nuclear war. I found it interesting to see the inside perspective of that incredibly tense period.

Great movie about parents dealing with the murder of their daughter and her fiancé trying to move on with his life. This is one of my favorites "laugh and cry" movies.

Awesome movie about Scarlett Johansson and her long blonde hair and skin-tight suit.

Slither
Super-gross horror/sci-fi/comedy movie. Very fun to watch. How could it not be?!?! It's an alien invasion movie with a zombie apocalypse twist! You top that off with genuinely funny stuff and lots of gross-out scenes.

Idiocracy
This movie shouldn't be on this list because it actually wasn't released nation-wide. I just wanted to profile it because I think it is freakin' funny!
It's about how stupid this world is getting and if we keep it up, in a few hundred years, we will all be on the verge of mental retardation.
